BRIGHT HOPES FOR OUR TRIBAL KIDS
September, 05
Hopefully we can move all our children to our new land by next year 2006, the Lord willing. That’s our prayer wish before the Lord. And then, we can add more children who are in dire need for help.
At present, our 107 kids in Baan Phraporn are expecting a great Christmas 2005 celebration beginning December 19 up to January 1st With our coming buffet party and many other activities during this season, it’s not surprising why they are in high spirits lately.
As for our older kids, here is some development update:
Suwan opened a small Auto repair shop together with his other Karen friends, Nu and Oos. He just successfully finished his Automotive course in a Technical School in Chiangmai, and immediately pursued his dream of having his own shop. So, our whole family in Baan Phraporn with some other close friends in ministries and relatives of these three young men graced the opening ceremony in Maejo District, Chiangmai City on October 11, 6 p.m. “I am thankful to God for all of you who looked after me at Baan Phraporn. Now that I have this opportunity, I see the grace of God more, and I want to be a blessing to our church,” Suwan said.
Amporn in Bangkok and Tiwaporn in Payao Province are both finishing Bible College next year. Cheyee and Mae are in their 2nd year of Biblical Studies in 2 separate Bible Schools in Chiangrai Province. It is our prayer that the Lord will give them a burden to support/lead our church ministry with the small kids when they finish their studies.
Thom had her short trip to Bangkok for business exposure. She’s now in her 3rd year at Payap University in Chiangmai and will soon complete her Accounting Course. She’ll be our first child to finish a university degree! We hope that next year Wasana, Thongdee, Surasak and Jindaporn will follow I her footsteps.
We are very happy for all of them. It’s like seeing our dream for them come true. The Lord is good indeed!
